Now live , this new functionality allows [NEARSOFT](https://www.linkedin.com/company/nearsoft-pt/)'s bank clients in Portugal to perform transfers using only the recipient's phone number, eliminating the need for an IBAN (International Bank Account Number). 

Launched by the [Banco de Portugal](https://www.bportugal.pt/), [SPIN](https://www.bportugal.pt/en/page/spin) has been gradually implemented since June 24, 2024, and will be mandatory for all banks by September. This service aims to simplify and expedite transfers between accounts.
